Court Record Access Limits
Public access to California trial court records is governed by California Rule of Court 2.503, with sealing rules under Rules 2.550 and 2.551. Remote electronic access to some Sonoma Superior Court documents is limited even when the same document can be inspected at the courthouse. Juvenile case files are confidential under Welfare and Institutions Code section 827, and adoption records are confidential under California Family Code section 9200. This site does not control what is online. The Sonoma County Superior Court does.
